Rants & Raves
Hello, I'd first off like to thank you for your courage to stand up for what is right. I found you through David's site. I am really fed up with what this society is doing to us. I'm only 30 years old....and I feel like I'm 'knockin' on heavens door'. When I was 13, I was diagnosed with a 'nervous stomach' and have been on numerous medications since then. With no information on what I could be doing for myself in ways of eating and such. When I was 21, I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety and put on a very large dose of effexor xr....my life was a total nightmare from it for about 5 years. For about 5 years I never left the house, and was extremely suicidal as well. I stopped going to my doctor and stopped taking the meds all at once when I meet my fiance...He is a vegan and takes the natural path, slowly I cut out meat and started eating all organic...and nothing with preservatives in it......as much as I can anyways. Its very limited options for people that don't want to conform unto the lie.....Anyways....I am still struggling, but I am free of prescriptions now, and trying to rebuild on the damage done. I am furious that the medical community is all about treating symptoms with fancy drugs ( that the drug companies pay out big bucks to doctors who sell the most of their drug) and its not about preventative medicine! In my province of Alberta Health Care is not an option....you HAVE to pay for it....and it does not cover natural or holistic healing.....which I can barely afford either......Its a sad state of affairs when people's pocket money means more to them than human lives. sigh.... thank you again dear friend for allowing me this rant. It may not make anything better....but it solidifies in me that I am not alone. many thanks.

Dear Mr. Fitzgerald, Your book is both terrifying and spectacular. The chapter on endocrine disruption is truly one of the most horrifying things I have ever read. The biggest shock of all is that this is not more widely known by the general public. My biggest hope is that this book becomes a spectacular best-seller and motivates people to take a stand against the toxins that are destroying our species. Your book has motivated me. Once I get over the initial shock, I plan to become more active in trying to find organizations to join that help address these issues. I will be checking your website daily for updates and new info. Gratefully

Dear Randall, I am a physician with a masters degree in traditional Chinese medicine. First, I must say you have written a remarkable book. I have already given copies to my sister and my father (a surgeon). My own story starts with having a heart attack at age 42 and the cardiologist offering only open heart surgery as a 'cure'. I thought different, and cured myself through diet, Chinese medicine, supplements and fish oil. After the MI but before I started my 'program', I had angina so bad I couldn't walk up 2 flights of stairs. Now I easily run 35 miles a week and work out 1-1.5 hours a day in the gym. I now pass on all that I have learned to my patients. I am living proof that healing occurs outside the Western medical box! In fact I am convinced that 90% of the pharmaceuticals used can be improved upon using natural elements or Chinese formulas instead. The real tragedy here is all of the patients who, not knowing any better, blindly listen to their doctors advice. If I had done that I would already be going in for my second (re-do) surgery since these grafts only last an average of 8 years and probably would have suffered numerous pump or recovery catastrophies by then as well. Sincerely,
Chris Rasmussen, MD, MS, LAc.
Ignore the message of The Hundred Year Lie at the extreme peril of the health and well-being of not only yourself, but of everybody everywhere. Our habits have become addictions to technologically contrived conveniences that are devastating all life. Think I'm exaggerating? Read the book. Its a real good thing Fitzgerald wallops us with health discoveries that offer huge hope to those of us who can't stand the ride any longer.

I heard you on Coast To Coast AM, and bought your book the minute it was available. I believe it is the most important book of the decade, at least, encompassing the previous works such John Yiamouyiannis' book on fluoride and others into one integrated approach.

When I read The Hundred Year Lie, at first I was just simply terrified, because I felt helpless. But then I saw that it is actually possible to reverse the terrible course we are on and to take back control of our health and well-being. Pretty simple: get off synthetics. Everyone must read this book, take its message to heart, and change. I highly recommend it.

THANK YOU!! And I wish you tremendous success with this book! I'm telling ALL of my friends...Thanks for looking out for us! All the best,
Christine Filardi
Reading The Hundred Year Lie was a slap in the face to my unconscious acceptance of the notion that synthetics are just about improving life, making mine more enjoyable and convenient. Make no mistake; there is no free lunch. Read this book and take its message to heart. The implications of denying or ignoring its message are too horrible to contemplate. I have to admit, the findings repulsed me and I'll never look at food and pharmaceutical drugs in the same way again. I want my health back and now I know it has to start with me.

The message of The Hundred Year Lie is very simple: Human beings either wake up to the error of relying on synthetic chemicals and take personal responsibility for the restoration of life in balance with our naturally-provided environment, or all is lost. The facts in The Slippery Slope Index are particularly powerful...probably because this has all been happening right under our noses. A hundred years is enough. I sure can't keep going like this and my kids are suffering too. Thank you Randall Fitzgerald for a long overdue wake-up call. The 'other side' is sober but you provide a lot of hope with the naturally occurring health paradigm. Those stories of self-healing are totally amazing! Its true: the Synthetics Belief System is a complete fabrication. The myths we cherish which you expose are worth the price of the book. Thanks again. Sincerely,
Amanda Belling-Brown -- San Francisco, California
The Hundred Year Lie makes it frighteningly clear that we are participating in a lethal experiment that threatens our species and every living being on the planet. I applaud Mr. Fitzgerald for illustrating a very complex issue in terms that my high-school students can understand. This is basic education for anybody alive today, especially our kids. They're the one's that have inherited the worst of this experiment. We all need to talk about this openly and figure out what to do for ourselves and for our families.

The Hundred Year Lie makes it clear: the real 'terrorist' is me, threatening myself, those that I love and even everybody everywhere, by the choices I make every day. It's true: I am entirely dependent for well-being on my choices and those of every other human being, regardless of race, religion, wealth or nationality. In 100 years, we've brought our civilization to the brink of irreversible damage and I think everybody that reads this book will get its most fundamental message: if I don't change my habits based on this incredible story, my refusal would be a bizarre denial that any decent person would find very weird. It's not acceptable to continue on our present track; not because of any outside authority telling me so, but because its what my eyes are showing me and what this incredible expose reveals as obvioius and undeniably true. The impact of The Synthetics Belief System is real and we won't survive it unless...Good job Randall!

After reading this book, I am at once troubled, relieved and hopeful; troubled at how wrong we have been to place responsibility in the hands of others, relieved that the devastating results of doing so have been revealed, and hopeful that there is actually a way to take back responsibility and heal ourselves and our planet. I can't help but wonder: Is is too late? The Hundred-Year Lie goes to great lengths to demonstrate that our choices are black and white and could lead to massive changes globally if there was a common cooperative will. I was already "on board" before I red this amazing book. Now I'm realizing just how dependent on poisons I've become, regardless of my considerable efforts to do my part. No doubt: everybody should read this book. You'll know what I mean once you've read through the Introduction! Thank you Randall for something both useful and inspiring.

There have a been very few books that troubled me on as deep a level as The Hundred Year Lie; Rachel Carson's Silent Spring is one such book. I wonder if mankind will pay any more attention to this book? I certainly hope so, for the sake of all we hold dear. We are all on a very perilous road together. The slippery slope Fitzgerald highlights in The Hundred-Year Lie probably troubled us the most. There it was, in black and white, the toxic health history of our family all the way back to our great-grand-parents and including the kids. Now we can see it clearly: our belief in the safety of our food and medicine (and everything else synthetic) has been slowly robbing our family of a future. So that's it for us. We all talked about it over dinner (we still do that!) and we're making changes. If our kids' kids are going to keep on having kids, we all better start rowing in the same direction otherwise this book makes it pretty clear that we are all doomed. Luckily there's a way forward that touched us all. Those stories of self-healing and “naturally occurring” health were a real eye-opener and the real reason why we feel like we have a safety net -- in case the worse happens to anyone of us: detoxing and recovering from the devastating effects of these synthetic time-bombs ticking inside us all is a documented fact. Now everybody will know!

“Keep up the good work. These lies must be exposed. This material is so needed right now.”
Sherry Henderson -- Oracle 20/20 Magazine
This book is basic instruction for survival of the species. On the surface, The Hundred Year Lie is about seeing the error of our ways and changing our personal action to make things better for ourselves. The deeper implications for living beings everywhere are much more profound: we cannot reverse our tragic course without everyone demanding the truth. We are all in this together; we either grow up together, or we die in each other's toxins. If you can read The Hundred Year Lie and not be deeply shaken, check your pulse.

Greatly appreciated your book which I learned of when I caught you discussing it with Thom Hartmann over the radio in Portland. I bought it the following day and read it all in just two sittings--like one does with a great novel. (Just purchased two more to give to friends.)...Would you consider posting the before and after test on your site? I found your book very optimistic and I believe it was because it showed that one can turn things around--quoting Dr. Laseter: "Your total chemical load dropped out of the picture." Many people need to hear that their right efforts can pay off. Thanks again for the book.

Dear Mr. Fitzgerald: I am in the middle of reading your book The Hundred Year Lie and find it quite interesting. Last July my husband died four months after open heart surgery. He was either in the hospital or rehab facility for those four months. He had contracted pneumonia or his lungs were damaged by having been given amiodarone. He was also given a whole array of drugs he had never taken before. In short I believe he died because of the effects of so many drugs aa well as poor nutrition. He lost 40 pounds in three months. Before the surgery he was fine. He elected to have his heart valve replaced before it started to cause any problems. I would like to write something about this in Jack's memory to help educate other people as to the dangers of modern medicine and the foods we currently ingest. Thank you.
